Is it better to get domain with or without mail attached? Do I need to pay for mail or can I set it up on my server?

Domain with email is better as it’s free and outbound emails mostly land on inboxes. On the other hand, if you set up your server then email delivery depends on IP reputation. You have to make sure your IP is fully spam-free.
